Today’s #SCAatHome song is my tribute to the bardic community, “Plant Your Feet”. The bards of the Society are a talented and hardy breed. Do we serve two masters? Sometimes. Hey, it’s fun.
Enjoy, and stay safe.

Okay, YouTube has finished processing it. Here is the full concert (minus the vandalism) for those who wish to watch it. Enjoy!
Thanks, everybody who attended the Zoom concert. That was a blast. Apologies to anyone who couldn’t get in…we had a Zoom bomber during the first song, and our hosts had to be vigilant to keep trolls from disrupting any more of the set. (Thank you, Mithgiladan!)
I’ve uploaded the video to YouTube, and edited out the vandalism. As soon as YouTube finished processing the edits, I will post the concert for people to enjoy.
I have been asked to perform as part of the “Beyond the Corona” Virtual Filk Sing for the HELIOsphere Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Anime convention (which, like so much else, will not be happening in person this year). I’ll be performing on Sunday, April 5, from 4-5 pm EDT (Facebook event here). It will be an hour of my bardic / filk / Elizabethan mix, with maybe one or two pre-Bardic pieces to round out the set. The concert is free, and open to all who wish to attend.
Here is the Zoom link for the concert (available on virtually all computers and mobile devices):

I hope you can join me.
For those of you who missed the live performance, I recorded another lute piece last weekend while I had the garb on. It’s “Ode to Birka”. (Content Warning: Catching a bug at a crowded event, played for humor. Too soon?)
Today’s video is a new performance of “Clear or cloudy” by John Dowland. (Yes, I did a bunch of recordings on Saturday while I had my garb on.) Stay safe.
Something different for #SCAatHome today. My wife Jessica, who has been such a source of strength to me and others the last few weeks, requested one of the songs I wrote for her before I got into bardic. “World Enough and Time” was my proposal to her.
Good morning. Today’s video is a tale of the rise of the valiant young King Arthur. Epic and serious business, this.
My friend Cedar the Barefoot collaborated with me on a fun little filk of “You’re Welcome” from Disney’s Moana a few years ago, and I’ve seen them perform it a few times, but I’ve never gotten around to it myself. For the #SCAatHome series, I decided it was high time. So here is a new Drake and Cedar filk. Enjoy, and stay safe.
Good evening. The lute pieces seem to be well-received (and they are giving me some thoughts about starting to transfer these skills back to guitar and learn how to accompany myself on SCA folk music). Here’s John Dowland’s “Come again sweet love”. Enjoy, and be safe.
